Groupbox.DataAreaCollapsed renders incorrectly when sorting Scroll Area rowset
We are experiencing an issue with a Campus Solutions component which appears to be related to a PeopleTools issue. I have been able to recreate a component which demonstrates the issue.
If you place a Collapsable Data Area groupbox within a scroll area and have the "Default Initial View to Expanded State" option checked, all of the groupboxes are expanded. You can collapse these within PeopleCode by setting the DataAreaCollapsed property to True. However, if you set this property on some rows and then do a Rowset Sort, the collapsed rows will continue to be collapsed in their new position, but so will the rows that end up in the sequence previously occupied by a collapsed row. These incorrectly collapsed rows will report their DataAreaCollapsed as False, but they are clearly rendered as collapsed on the screen.
If you explicitly set the DataAreaCollapsed property to false prior to sorting for all rows which are expanded, then the behavior is as expected after the sort.
I've created a same project which demonstrates this phenomenon which I will attach to this SR. The Menu/Component is KA_85416.KA_85416_RS.GBL
The premise is as follows:
There are 4 rows of dummy data for the scroll area
RowInit PeopleCode on the scroll record sets DataAreaCollapsed = True if the record is in the second row and fires a MessageBox
On loading the component ItemB (2nd row) is collapsed correctly. If you click the Sort button (which toggles the sort of the rowset ascending/descending), the rowset will be sorted in reverse order. Now both the 2nd and 3rd rows are collapsed (ItemB and ItemC). The "Get Groupbox Status" button will report the value of DataAreaCollapsed - it reports True for ItemB (correct value, correctly rendered) and False for ItemC (correct value, incorrectly rendered).
There is a simple workaround (Set DataAreaCollapsed = False in RowInit for the other rows), but I'd like confirmation of the issue & workaround if possible.
If the DataAreaCollapsed collapsed property is set to true through peoplecode, it should be in an expanded state.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, students cannot see the correct info. on their grade rosters.
