Symptoms

The 'Complete Putaway' process (INPPPTWY) (navigation: Inventory, Putaway Stock, Complete Putaway) fails with the below error:

Application Program Failed

 Action Type : SQL INSERT
 In Pgm Section : SQLRT: EXECUTE-STMT
 With Return Code: 01438
 Error Message : ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allowed for this column
 Stored Stmt : INPPPROC_I_AVGCST 
 SQL Statement : INSERT INTO PS_CM_PERPAVG_COST (BUSINESS_UNIT, CM_BOOK, INV_ITEM_ID, COST_ELEMENT, DT_TIMESTAMP, SEQ_NBR, TRANSACTION_DT, CM_COST_SOURCE, CM_UNIT_COST, CURRENCY_CD)

 
The error is associated with the Unit Cost when putting away InterUnit Transfers which have been created for Requisitions.

Changes

For the issue to occur you must have installed the fix for the Release 9.1 <Bug 19706487> and <Bug 21108896> or release 9.2 <Bug 19854045>. See the Knowledge <Document 1960382.1> for more information.
