Why Does Inventory Reject the Setup of a Default Putaway Inspection Location While 'Inspection Required' Is ON at the Purchasing Business Unit Level? (Doc ID 2101680.1)

Goal

When the 'Inspection Required' flag is:

* turned OFF for an Item at the Purchasing Attributes level (navigation: Items, Define Items and Attributes, Purchasing Attributes - Tab: Purchasing Controls - Section: Receiving Controls)

and

* turned ON at the Purchasing Business Unit Attributes level (navigation: Items, Define Items and Attributes, Purchasing Attributes - Tab: Purchasing Controls - Hyperlink: BU Attributes - Section: Receiving Controls)


and you try to set up a Default Putaway Location for an Inventory Business Unit and Item (navigation: Inventory, Maintain Storage Locations, Default Putaway Locations), the following error is issued:

A default 'Inspection' location cannot be set up for an item that does not require inspection. (11100,1591)
