On PeopleTools 8.4x / 8.5x, when PeopleCode uses File Layouts to write data files, when a file layout is of type FIXED, the Field Length setting is respected.
However, when the file layout is of type CSV, this setting is ignored, field data are being written as stored, even if longer than the specified Field Length.
Why Field Length is not not enforced as a limit for CSV file layouts, and is it possible to enhance this functionality to use it as max value length limit?
