Closing a Production Order (PID) with 100% Yield after One with Operation Yield < 100% Results in Incorrect Config or Routing Variances (Doc ID 2104891.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 04, 2016

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Manufacturing - Version 9.1 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a Production Order (PID) with 100% Yield is processed immediately after a PID with < 100% Yield by the 'Production Close' process (SF1100), the PID with 100% Yield will record erroneous Config and/or Routing Variances.

Steps to replicate the issue:

  1. Create a PID with 100% Yield, and a PID with 95% yield on at least one Routing.
  2. Complete the first PID.
  3. Complete the second PID with Scrap.
  4. Close both PIDs by running the 'Production Close' process (SF1100).
  5. Compare WIP values prior to the close, with the variances calculated by the SF1100 process.
