Pension auto enrollment process is not setting the terminated status for an employee automatically. The pension would stop getting deducted the date the employee is terminated as it would pick up the pension on basic pay from job data.
However, for an employee who is rehired, the pension scheme would reflect as active and that would be an issue, thus the terminated event should be set automatically.
The pension auto enrollment white paper describes that the termination event would automatically be set for an employee when he/she is terminated.
Terminate an existing employee using job data. Then, run the pension auto enrollment process for the month.
