User Cannot Create New Run Control ID for Run File Parser (Doc ID 2109705.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 05, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Campus Community - Version 9 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When two separate users try to save the same run control ID on the file parser run control page (Set Up SACR> System Administration> Utilities> File Parser> Run File Parser), an error is thrown. The user is unable to save the page and is unable to run the file parser process until they have created a totally unique run control ID.

"Data being updated does not exist (18,4) When trying to save your changes, the system could not find the existing data in the database."

Steps to Reproduce:
User 1:
1.  User 1 goes to Set Up SACR > System Administration > Utilities > File Parser > Run File Parser and adds new Run Control ID.
2.  Saves run control.

User 2:
1.  User 2 goes to the same page, Set Up SACR > System Administration > Utilities > File Parser > Run File Parser and adds a new run control id. This ID is the same one that User 1 entered.

When the run control page opens, the file path is set to the file path that User 1 had saved. However, the File Mapping ID is blank.

2. When the File Mapping ID is changed, the file path is cleared out.
3. User 2 enters a new file path and tries to save the run control. Error pops up and the user is unable to save the run control (or run the process).
