User Password Cannot Be Saved Or Updated Using The "Define Vendor User" Component (Doc ID 2120436.1)

Symptoms

User password cannot be saved or updated using the "Define Vendor User" component

Create a new vendor user by navigating to Vendors >> Vendor Information >> Add/Update >> Define Vendor User. Save the user and password. Then try to login as the user. The system will not allow.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Vendors >> Vendor Information >> Add/Update >> Define Vendor User. Save the user and password.
2. Try to login as the user. The system will not allow.
3. Navigate to PeopleTools > Security > User Profiles > User Profiles and open the new User ID. See that password is blank.
