When Completing Performance Documents, System Response Is Very Slow On Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) (Doc ID 2126416.1)

When managers are completing Performance Documents for their employees, response time on Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) gets worse until it is non-responsive and times out. This appears to be related to the number of goals / competencies on the page and perhaps the Writing Tool or RTF edit boxes. This response issue does not occur on IE9.

Response Time of IE11 is slow

Response Time with IE11 should be at least as good as with earlier versions.


1. Signon to DEMO as a manager (PS should work).
2. Open Current Documents under Manager Self Service, Performance Management, Performance Documents, Current Documents.
3. Select an employee performance document with Document Status of Evaluation in Progress.
4. Click on the Long Format link, and then Expand All.
5. Click on Writing Tools to add performance notes.
  5.1 Do this for several Goals, Responsibilities, Competencies.
  5.2 After a few comment boxes are filled in, the response time diminishes, and continues to get worse with the more comments.


Managers are sometimes unable to complete Performance Reviews on schedule and become frustrated with the system.
