ERE: RE_GENTRANS Process Picks Up All BU's For Processing Though BU Specific (Doc ID 2126907.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 08, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Lease Administration - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When running the RE_GENTRANS Application Engine with a Business Unit identified on the run control, the app engine processes all of the Real Estate Business Units during the steps of the sub-job RE_LS_EXPIRY. This is generating email notifications to the users every time a new BU is being processed.

Oracle needs to update the beginning step of the Application Engine to have the run control parameters applied prior to the RE_LS_EXPIRY.MAIN.Step01, or include them in that step so that IF a Business Unit is specified on the run Control, the step is also limited to that Business Unit, and does not proceed to process ALL Business Units.

Per Oracle PeopleBooks,

Use the Manage Transaction Generator page (RUN_RE_GENTRANS) to create a run control ID for the Manage Transactions Generator process and run the process.
Navigation
• select Real Estate Management, then select Lease Administration, then select Integrations, then select Manage Transaction Generator
• Click the Run button.
Although the system does not require any parameters, you can limit the processing by business unit. If you do not enter a business unit, the system will process all business units. Click Run to run the Transaction Generator process

This is NOT the case in the steps RE_LS_EXPIRY of the delivered Application engine RE_GENTRANS.

At the step RE_GENTRANS.MAIN.Step08 the Application Engine limits processing to the Run Control settings.
