Goal

In PeopleTools 8.55 and recent 9.20 Applications, the PeopleBooks are not merged in the same manner as they were previously.
Instead, indexes are created for the sets of PeopleBooks being used using Java, and one of the sets of PeopleBooks holds contains the indexes.

The PeopleBooks zip contains a README.txt file with instructions to install and create the PeopleBooks indexes.
Use the instructions in README.txt, and refer to this document for additional details.
