Customer observes that when the UOM on a purchase order is changed via a PURCHASE_ORDER_ACKNOWLEDGEMENT message, the PO shows the correct update however the Item Availability page in inventory does not reflect the update.

For example, item A uom std EA(1) plus BOX(12ea) CARTON(120ea)
PO opened for qty 120 EA
observe: Item availability shows 120
PURCHASE_ORDER_ACKNOWLEDGEMENT message changes uom to BOX so PO is open for 120 BOX
observe: Item availability shows 120 EA which is wrong.... it should have applied the conversion rate to show 1440 EA

If the PO uom is changed directly on the PO, then Item Availability is updated to reflect the right qty

Customer expects the Item Availability qty to be accurate in both scenarios

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot get an accurate gauge of incoming qty to inventory, since the item availability page, which gives them visibility into the qty at the PO, is showing an incorrect value
