ACA Safe Harbor Code Incorrect for Month in which Plan Type Changes

An employee moves between Medical and Medical Spousal Premium Plan Types (Plan Types 10 and 1S) during the year. The ACA Data Extract program assigns Safe Harbor code ‘2A’ to the employee for that month instead of ‘2C.”
1. Process employee benefit change through Benefits Administration (Navigation: Benefits > Manage Automated Enrollment > Events > Run Automated Event Processing), changing the employee between the two Plan Types.
2. Run the ACA Data Extract (Navigation: Benefits > ACA Annual Processing > Create ACA Form Data > ACA Data Extract).
