EPY: Why the System didn't Carry Over "End Date" when Add a New Effective Dated Entry in "Additional Pay" page (Doc ID 2156480.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 18, 2018

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Payroll for North America - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When system carryover\import the previous effective dated entries into a new effective dated row, it clears the "End Date" and retain all the remaining values.

For example, An employee’s additional pay was ended as of 02/29/2016. When add a new effective dated entry in Additional pay, expectation is - as like in other components (ex: General Deduction) - system will carry over all the details from the previous effective dated entry. But its clear the "End Date" and retains rest of the values. Because of that, if users didn’t notify that and add a new additional sequence number with new amount, it will be an over payment for that employee.
