EGL9.2: Journal Delete Leaves Attachment Orphans In Subdirectory Path (Doc ID 2161464.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN General Ledger - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Actual Behavior

When subdirectory configured for GL Journal attachments, Journal Delete leaves attachment orphans. GL Journal Attachments are not being removed from the FTP server, and the corresponding PS_PV_ATTACHMENTS record is orphaned when deleting a GL Journal. This is happening because we have sent our GL Journal Attachments to a subdirectory and the delete code at JRNL_PANELS_WRK.PD_DELETE.SavePostChange f(x) pb_delete_sp expects the file to always be at the sever path and never at a subdirectory.

Expected Behavior
GL Journal Attachments should be removed from the FTP server

1) Setup a FTP sub directory at: Set Up Financials/Supply Chain >> Common Definitions >> File Attachments >> Administer File Attachments
2) Create a new journal and add an attachement: General Ledger >> Journals >> Journal Entry >> Create/Update Journal Entries
4) Save and Edit the journal
5) Delete the journal and check in the DB if the attachments exist
