Last updated on FEBRUARY 05, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Time and Labor - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 9.2 version, TL Integration

The TCD load process is loading comments into TL_TR_COMMENTS for all hours loaded, even when there are no comments coming in through the TCD. These invalid comments show up as content on the timesheet comments icon.

-Reported time file loaded via ELAPSED_TIME_ADD. COMMENTS field, #24, is blank on load file.
-Row is written to TL_TR_COMMENTS for each EMPLID/DUR/TCD on load file referencing TLSYSTEM as UserID and date/time of load with a blank comments field.
-Online on the Timesheet, the Comment line created by load process is open for entry.
-Comment can be entered and saved; TLSYSTEM and Date/Time of load remain. Actual online UserID and Date/Time of comment entry is not saved.

-If COMMENTS field on file loaded via ELAPED_TIME_ADD is blank, no record should be written to TL_TR_COMMENTS.
-If Comment field is included on file, it should be written to TL_TR_COMMENTS, but online update should not be available.
-Any new comments entered via online page should reflect applicable UserID and Date/Time stamp of entry.

The impact is that managers and timekeepers are not able to differentiate between valid timesheet comments and invalid (empty) comments.
