An Existing Prospect Record Does Not Update to Applicant Status When an Application Record is Created (Doc ID 2162314.1)

Existing prospect record is not updating to Applicant status when using the Constituent Transaction Management framework.

Existing prospect record is updated to Applicant status based on parameter of Update Data configured on Installation Defaults - AD page.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. On the Installation Defaults - AD page, select the Update Data check box to update existing prospect records when an application record is created by navigating to Set Up SACR > Install > Admissions Installation.
  2. Load applicant data into staging records, which includes data for existing prospects.
  3. Navigate to Student Admissions > Application Transaction Mgmt > Transaction Management Process to run the Transaction Management process, which includes running search/match and posting staging records to production records.
  4. Review existing prospect record to verify that data has been updated.

The issue has the following business impact:

Due to this issue, users cannot view application number on the Prospect Program Data page for an existing prospect who has applied.
