When preparing to hire an applicant, if the user selects "Verify Employee ID", the system returns potential matches. The text at the top of the search results states the following:
"Potential duplicates were found - this person may already exist in the database. Refer to the given list for possible matches to the person you are adding. After you select the return button on the page, you'll be asked whether you want to continue adding this new person, or cancel this operation."
When the user selects return, the system displays the Prepare for Hire page again, and the options are to "Submit Request to HR" or "Cancel."
This document is to explain how to change that text, in case your users find it confusing.
1. Create an external applicant with same name as existing employee.
2. Process the applicant to "Prepare for Hire" status.
3. On the Prepare for Hire page, click on the "Verify Employee ID" button. (The system displays a grid listing existing employees who are potential matches, with the message described above.)
4. Click the "Return" button, as indicated in the text on the search results page. (The system returns to Prepare for Hire page with options to "Submit Request to HR" and "Cancel".)
