When an applicant is linked to Job Opening with questionnaire an email notification is sent to the applicant but is not displaying Job Opening Id when the job opening is not posted
1. Select or create a job opening that has a questionnaire and is not posted.
2. Link an applicant (internal or external) who has an email address on their profile to this job opening.
3. The Link email notification that is generated to the applicant does not have the job opening ID or Job Opening/posting title the applicant is linked to.
4. The My notifications section on the careers page does not display the notification when the applicant is linked to a job opening. As a result the applicant cannot submit a new application to answer the questions related to the job opening.
Requirement to not send email notification if an applicant is linked to a non-posted job opening with questionnaire is addressed with following changes –
Peoplecode is modified such that before sending the email, it is checked if variable storing “Job Opening ID – Posting Title and URL” is non-blank. This ensures that email is sent only for posted jobs with questionnaire and not for non-posted jobs with questionnaire. A blank value in the variable storing “Job Opening ID – Posting Title and URL” can only be possible if job is non-posted/expired.
Requirement to alert user, that email will not be sent, when an applicant is linked to non-posted job opening with questionnaire is addressed with following changes –
Message Catalog 18177, 2937 is modified to alert user that email will not be sent as applicant is linked to non-posted job opening.
Peoplecode is modified to alert user that email will not be sent as applicant is linked to non-posted job opening. A new message catalog entry 18177, 3068 is created for this purpose.
