Information in this document applies to any platform.
Users report that when using a custom component, they got a blank page with the message "Could not open registry".
The following error can be seen in the web server log:
SEVERE psft.pt8.registry.PortalRegistry open PortalRegistry.open failed for Portal=EMPLOYEE because cached object expired over ValidTo date
The issue was solved after bouncing the web and app servers.
