Route Code Associated to Location Doesn’t Print out on Shipping Document for Express Issue (Doc ID 2171210.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 11, 2016

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Inventory - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a Material Stock Request (MSR) is created via the Create/ Update Stock Request page, the resulting shipping document will display the route associated to the location on the MSR. When the MSR is created via the Express Issue page, the resulting page will NOT display the route associated to the location on the MSR. Having the route code blank on shipping documents created from Express Issues means that orders cannot be easily segregated for pick-up by carrier.

Steps to Reproduce the Issue:

1. Create MSR and Generate Shipping Document for it
a) Navigate to Main Menu > Inventory > Fulfill Stock Orders > Stock Requests > Create/ Update Stock Request
b) Create internal issue MSR for inventory BU US011
c) Ensure to select a location that is associated to a route code stop (in our case, location US001 is a route stop on the green route ). Also choose the item with onhand balance you identified earlier.
d) Now perform reserve materials, order release, and material picking feedback for the MSR.
e) Navigate to Inventory > Fulfill Stock Orders > Review Fulfillment Information > Fulfillment Status just to confirm that the MSR is in Confirmed status
f) Navigate to Inventory > Fulfill Stock Orders > Shipping> Shipping Issues. We create a new shipping ID for inventory BU US011
g) MSR is now in Shipped status.
h) Click the printer icon that appears, then click the Report list link.
i) Click the INX6503-INX6503.pdf link. Note: it might take ~30 seconds for this link to appear
j) Shipping document displayed. Route associated with MSR is shown on the shipping doc. That’s correct.

2. Create Express Issue and Generate Shipping Document for it
a) Navigate to Main Menu > Inventory > Fulfill Stock Orders > Stock Requests > Express Issue
b) Create internal Express Issue for inventory BU US011
c) Ensure to select a location that is associated to a route code stop (in our case, location US001 is a route stop on the BLACK route ).
d) Click the printer icon that appears, then click the Report Manager link.
e) Shipping document displayed. Route associated with MSR is NOT shown on the shipping doc. This is incorrect.
