EAP: What is the Purpose of the Postal Code at the Bottom of CHECK1 Template? (Doc ID 2174754.1)

Goal

On the delivered CHECK1 template, below the mailing address there is a field that is printing the Postal Code.

Here is what is showing in the template:
a1v1v2B1B2if_1if_2if_3val_1eif_3if_4val_2eif_4eif_2if_5if_6val_3eif_6if_7val_4eif_7eif_5eif_1B5

When check is generated it displays the Postal code (for example):
s940016s

What is the purpose of this field?
