Erroneous Warning Message When Approving GSS Ad Hoc Salary for Employees with Multiple Empl_Rcds (Doc ID 2175224.1)

Symptoms

When approving an Ad-Hoc Salary Change initiated in GSS, the Warning Message shown below is received indicating the employee is Inactive although they are not. The system is generating the message based on the Inactive Empl_Rcd 0 record and not the Active Empl_Rcd 1 record.

Warning: Employee ID <EMPLID> - <Employee Name> is Inactive. (18222,1132)

The employee became inactive after the initiation of the transaction. You may need to contact an administrator to determine the correct action.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Request an Ad-Hoc Salary Change for an employee with an Inactive Empl_Rcd = 0 and an Active Empl_Rcd = 1
2. As the Approver, select the transaction from the Manager Dashboard Pending Approvals pagelet
3. Notice that the above Warning is displayed when the transaction opens.
