Process Tracing Is Turned On For Application Engines PC_BUD_CALC, PC_FC_CALC and PGM_REVW_AE (Doc ID 2176357.1)

Last updated on MARCH 09, 2017

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Program Management - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Project Costing - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

As delivered, the following two application engines in Project Costing and Program Management have tracing turned on:
  PC_BUD_CALC
  PC_FC_CALC
  PGM_REVW_AE

This not only slows down the processes, but the system and depending on the trace, how often it runs, etc., may also cost in storage. Processes should be delivered with tracing turned of to ensure best performance / less storage requirements.

The issue can be confirmed with the following steps:
1. Navigate to PeopleTools > Process Scheduler > Processes and open the process definition (PC_BUD_CALC, PC_FC_CALC or PGM_REVW_AE)
2. Go to the Override Options tab
3. Note that there are trace parameters defined to append to the parameter list. There should be none.
