ERS9.1: Save Warning is Prompted Without Any Changes to Resource Pool Hierarchy Component and Grid Sorting is Not Retained on Pool Resources Page (Doc ID 2181715.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 09, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Resource Management - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On the 'Resource Pool Hierarchy' page when user clicks the icon 'View Pool Resources' the system gives a Save Warning to save any changes done, even when no changes are made. Upon clicking 'No' (deny saving any changes) user is redirected to the 'Pool Resources' page. But on this page the data on the 'Current Resource Pool' grid is unsorted. User sorted this data in ascending order as per 'Name' column under 'General' tab. When user moves out of the component and go back to this grid user sees that the sort is not retained.

This issue started happening after upgrading from PT 8.52 to 8.54. The issue was not occurring in PT 8.52 env.

1) Go to 'Resource Pool Hierarchy' page.
2) Click on the 'View Pool Resources' icon.
3) Click 'No' on the Save warning.
4) Redirected to the 'Pool Resources' page.
5) Click on the column ‘Name’ to sort the data in ascending order.
6) Move out of this component and come back again to the page.

Expected result:
There should be no save warning after step 2.
The data should be sorted with column 'Name' after step 6.

Actual result:
Following warning occurs after step 2:
Do you want to save your changes? Click Yes to go back and save, or No to discard your changes.

The data is not sorted after step 6.
