FLUID Mode Allows Keying In Of Invalid Punch Sequences With Only An Error Message, But No Prevention (Doc ID 2188444.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 20, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Time and Labor - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Fluid Mode enables employees to key in time sheet data punches that are usually flagged as errors and prevented in classic mode.

For example, two out punches in a row is not allowed to be keyed in classic mode, there is a warning message and you are not allowed to continue or save the punch sequence.

In FLUID mode, the system will provide an error message stating that you are trying to key in an invalid punch sequence, but it allows you to save the invalid sequence.

The invalid punches, once submitted, are able to be approved. These will cause potential failure in Time Admin.
