This document provides performance tuning guidelines that can be used to improve the performance of BI Publisher Reports, in particular those that run with a large data set. These techniques can be especially useful for those BIP Reports that have been converted from Crystal Reports, but have shown worse performance than the equivalent Crystal version. The guidelines and techniques in this document should help to better understand the underlying characteristics and requirements of the BI Publisher Reporting engine, in order to fine-tune the performance of such reports.
