There is no Item Available to Pick Up When Lookup Item at Manual Cost Update

When trying to pick up an Inventory Item to update cost in the Manual Cost Update page (Main Menu > Cost Accounting > Item Costs > Update Costs > Manual Cost Update) there is no item available to be picked up.

The error occurs only in our PeopleTools 8.54 environment. Working fine for PeopleTools 8.52

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1 - Open Manual Cost update page and inform BU and lookup the item id.
2 - No item is available to pick up.Hit cancel button.
3 - Now hit Search button
4 - Manual Cost page showing the item available.Return to search
5 - Now is showing the available item
