GP SGP 9.1 :Issue in Calculating Retro CPF On AW Payments Paid Retrospectively (Doc ID 2201707.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 08, 2016

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Global Payroll Singapore - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 9.1 version, Central Provident Fund

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
-------------------------------
An employee is paid AW but not OW in April. After the April pay calendar has been Finalized, Positive Input for OW and AW are entered, retro to the April pay calendar. When the current May payroll is calculated, retro delta for Ordinary CPF and Additional CPF are forwarded from the recalculated April pay calendar to the May pay calendar. The retro delta for OW and AW is also forwarded from the recalculated April pay calendar to the May pay calendar as expected. The retro OW is not subjected to Ordinary CPF since retro Ordinary CPF has been forwarded to the May pay calendar. However, the retro AW is subjected to Additional CPF which is wrong as this would result in double counting. The segment accumulator CPF ADD WAGES SEG shows the AW retro delta.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
--------------------------------------
The retro AW that is forwarded from the recalculated April pay calendar to the May pay calendar should not be subjected to Additional CPF since retro Additional CPF is already forwarded from the recalculated April pay calendar to the May pay calendar. The segment accumulator CPF ADD WAGES SEG should be zero.

STEPS
------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Enter P.I. for AW = 3000 in the current pay calendar, with OW resolving to zero.
2. Process current payroll to Finalized.
3. Enter P.I. for OW = 3360 and AW = 150, retro to the Finalized pay calendar.
4. Calculate the next month's payroll.
