E-ES: Elasticsearch Index Build Process PTSF_GENFEED Filling Up PSIMAGE2 Tablespace
(Doc ID 2206712.1)
Last updated on DECEMBER 27, 2023
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.55 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When running the Elasticsearch index build process PTSF_GENFEED the process may consume large amounts of space in the PSIMAGE2 tablespace. The process may actually fail if that tablespace cannot be extended sufficiently to hold all of the data in the index build process
Changes
This is a change in behavior from the SES index build process where only the links to attachments were passed from PeopleSoft to SES. In the Elasticsearch based index build process an encoded copy of the attachment is published by the PTSF_GENFEED process.
Where there are no attachments there is no difference in behavior and this problem should not arise.
