Apply Rules Error

We are getting this error for a particular employee when we try to apply rules from the timesheet:

During a CallAppEngine builtin function call, the Application Engine detected and error. The Application Engine log may provide more information



I have checked that step in the app engine and the issue appears to be caused the the date/pay calendar, but I haven't been able to figure out what the problem is. The pay calendar is built out through next year so that shouldn't be the issue.
