Company Directory Pagelet Search Returns Old Search Results

Symptoms
When a user enters search criteria in the Company Directory pagelet on the home page, the search returns successfully but then if the user changes the search criteria and clicks search, it just goes back to the original search.
STEPS
-----------------------
1. Go to Main Menu>Company Directory pagelet>Search
2. Search for Employee Name
3. Results show up.
4. Now change search to Another Employee Name
5. Results show up.

Due to this issue, users cannot search employees in company directory pagelet.
