Organization Foundation Interest Prompt Retrieves Too Many Values, as it is Linked to All Involvements (Doc ID 2229944.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 26, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Contributor Relations - Version 9 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When setting up Organization Foundation information and linking the foundation to interests on the Support Areas page, when a user clicks the lookup for interests it brings back the ENTIRE table of Involvements and does not limit it to those with a Category or Type of Foundation (or similar wording). A new prompt needs to be added so that only appropriate Involvement Codes can be selected. When a school has over 3000 involvement codes, it is impossible for the users to be able to find the right interest code without having the additional prompts.

There needs to be a prompt to limit this and make it usable for the average user.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Open the Support Areas page by going to Contributor Relations > Constituent Information > Organizations > Organization Information > Organization Foundation Info (second tab).
2. Select the prompt on the Interest field.
3. Get all involvement codes returned.
