Last updated on SEPTEMBER 26, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM eProfile Manager Desktop - Version 9.1 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When Guided Self Service (GSS) is configured to use Access Type "Security by Department Tree", while the User Profile (OPRID) has no Employee ID (EMPLID) associated with it, the user cannot access any records.

REPLICATION STEPS:
-----------------------

1. Identify a User ID that has no Employee ID associated with it.
2. Assign the same Row Level Security to that User as is assigned to a different user who has an Employee ID and who can access the records.
3. Run security processes and Build Direct Reports process.
4. Log in as each of those users and note that the user who has no Employee ID cannot see any records, even though the user has the same Row Level Security.
