E-PORTAL: Tile titles with Tile Wizard not Multi Language (Doc ID 2238030.1)

Symptoms

Titles of tiles in Fluid are supposed to be multi language. This seems not to work correct. The translation of a tile can be added by changing the tile title while logged in with a different language compared to the moment the tile was created. In general, this is common behavior for translating portal registry settings.

Problem what happens is that the title of a tile remains visible for all languages in the language that was used to make the last change of the tile title. Meaning if a user logs in with an English language and creates a tile with an English title, the tile becomes visible for all login languages in English. Until so far so good. Then the user logs in with another language (for example Dutch) and changes the existing tile title. Then the tile title becomes visible in Dutch at the homepage. Still so far so good. Then the user logs in again with English. Now the tile title is not in English but remains in Dutch. This is unexpected behavior.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. In English, go to PeopleTools > Portal > Tile Wizard and create tile with tile name in English.
2. Complete Tile Wizard and publish tile.
3. Log in using Dutch language and view new tile.
