ETL92: Timesheet Inconsistent Behavior Under Payable Time Viewing Option (Doc ID 2240297.1)

Last updated on MARCH 03, 2017

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Time and Labor - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

There appears to be inconsistent behavior under Payable Time Viewing Option. User needs clarification if there is a bug or the system is working as design.

Steps to Recreate:

Set up:
week 1 - calendar period SUN - SAT
A person reports time across the midnight threshold on the last day (SAT) of the period and the hours reflect start of shift 10 pm and punches out SUN at 6 am first day of the following time period. Time is submitted and TL TIMEADMIN kicked off creating payable time.

week 2 - calendar period SUN - SAT
A person reports time across the midnight threshold on the last day (SAT) of the period and the hours reflect start of shift 10 pm and punches out SUN at 6 am first day of the following time period. Time is submitted and TL TIMEADMIN kicked off creating payable time.

week 3 - calendar period SUN - SAT
A person reports time across the midnight threshold on the last day (SAT) of the period and the hours reflect start of shift 10 pm and punches out SUN at 6 am first day of the following time period. Then punches IN again on the same Sunday at 2 pm and OUT at 10 pm. Time is submitted and TL TIMEADMIN kicked off creating payable time.

The questions are...and I know the answers...but need to have Oracle validate.
1. In Manager Self Service, bring up the TimeSheet for week 2 and navigate to the Payable Time tab on the bottom - at first the tab defaults to the Detail radio button - how many rows of data are listed?
2. Toggle to the By TRC and Status radio button - how many rows of data are listed?
3. Toggle to the By TRC, Status and Day radio button - how many rows of data are listed?
4. Finally, Toggle back to the Detail radio button - how many rows of data are listed and does it match the same amount as in step 1?

Go out of the TimeSheet and back in. Repeat the four steps again....Same findings?

Business Impact:
Inconsistent behavior on timesheet under Payable Time Viewing Option causes confusion for users and therefore need clarification.
