Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When running the Affiliations Batch Process (App Engine SCC_AFL_RUN), a poor performance issue is encountered when using population selection to identify active employees or who has a job record.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
The Affiliations Batch Process runs within a reasonable time frame.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Enable Constituent Web Services and WORKFORCE_SYNC using PeopleTools Integration Broker.
2. Set up required affiliation-related setup pages.
3. Develop query for use as population selection.
4. Run the Affiliations Batch Process by navigating to Campus Community, Affiliations, Affiliation Batch Processing

The issue has the following business impact:

Due to this issue, users cannot implement the Slate-PeopleSoft interface project in which the File Parser and CTM/ATM frameworks are being used.
