How to suppress Profile questions when adding a Supplier?

We have the profile questions setup. Please see attached.
We use supplier portal onboarding functionality. We send invitations to suppliers to register themselves as potential vendors.  The profile questions are working as expected for the Supplier On Boarding functionality.

We would like the profile questions to be applicable only for supplier portal.  But, these questions are also appear as mandatory to be answered when our AP department add Suppliers manually . We would like to this to be suppressed for manual adds.
Please advise.

Should not want to have to answer profile questions when entering a Supplier internally.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Setup required Supplier Profile questions.
2. Enter a new Supplier. Supplier Information, Add
3. Profile questions are required to be answered.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot add new Suppliers without answering the Supplier Profile Questions.
