Slow Response time when searching on the Voucher Inquiry Page in PeopleSoft Financials 9.2
When performing searches on the Voucher Inquiry page in 9.1, the results are returned instantly. Using the same criteria in 9.2, it takes 10 minutes to get the search results returned. After doing a trace, it was determined that selecting from the new PS_VCHR_INQ_VW is causing the slow performance, specifically the fact that the PS_VCHR_INQ_VW selects from the PS_AP_VCHR_PAID_VW and PS_AP_VCHR_ATT_CNT Views. Neither of those views has an index and when explain plan in DB2 is done, those views can be seen doing tablespace scans on the PS_PYMNT_VCHR_XREF and PS_VOUCHER tables which both have millions of rows in the database.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
