The PC_COMPRESS Compression Process Run Control Only Allows Active Projects To Be Selected (Doc ID 2257967.1)

Last updated on JULY 22, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Project Costing - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When creating a run control for the PC compression process, only projects with an Active processing status can be selected. However, PeopleBooks states that "Project Data Compression process should be performed only on completed projects and activities."

If only active projects can be selected, it is not possible to compress completed projects. Inactive projects should be available for compression.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Identify a project with an 'Inactive' processing status (navigate to Project Costing > Project Definitions > General Information and search for projects with a processing status of Inactive).
  2. Navigate to Project Costing > Utilities > Compress Project Data.
  3. Enter the BU used in step 1 and click on the Project ID link to see the available projects. Inactive projects found in step 1 will not be shown.
