ETL92: Clicking Next Employee Link On Timesheet Resets The Date To Start Of Week On Timesheet (Doc ID 2258533.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 08, 2017

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Time and Labor - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

It appears there is a difference in behavior on the timesheet in 9.1 and 9.2. When user pulls up the timesheet via MSS for one employee with View by Option selected as 'Week' and Date selected as something other than the start of the week, then clicks on Next employee, in 9.1 the selected date is remains the same for the next employee. However in 9.2 the selected date is not maintained after clicking on next employee. In 9.2 after clicking on next employee the date the system resets the date to start of week for the next employee.

Steps to Recreate:
1. Login under MSS under 9.1
2. Select first employee then set View by Option selected as 'Week' and Date selected as something other than the start of the week.
3. Click on Next Employee. Note selected date remains the same for the next employee.
1. Login under MSS under 9.2
2. Select first employee then set View by Option selected as 'Week' and Date selected as something other than the start of the week.
3. Click on Next Employee. Note selected date does not remain the same for the next employee, instead the system resets the date to start of week for the next employee.

Business Impact:
Behavior difference between the two releases causes confusion for users and therefore users prefer it remain the same as in 9.1 release.
