E-ES: No Option Listed For The "Configure Search Instance" Field After Upgrading Or Patching PeopleTools (Doc ID 2266011.1)

After upgrading PeopleTools and selecting the SEARCH_TEMPLATE, there is no option for the 'Configure Search Instance' in the search list below Configuration plugins for SEARCH TEMPLATE.

Replication steps:


Select PeopleTools, Automated Config Manager, ACM Templates, Template Definition.
and Search for and open SEARCH_TEMPLATE.
There is no option listed for the 'Configure Search Instance' below "Configuration Plugins"
in the "Configuration Template Definition Page" (only for the "Deploy Search Definition"). Equivalently, after clicking on the "Properties" icon the "env.search_provider" field is empty (whereas 'ES' should've appeared).

What causes this and how to solve the issue?
