Applies to:PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.55 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
With PeopleTools 8.55, when opening a file for writing with GetFile() and specifying UTF8 charset, and then writing a text buffer to the file, extra Carriage Return (CR) characters are being written for each line. Single newline (NL) characters are auto-converted to CRNL. This is a different behavior than that of previous PeopleTools Releases and may cause problems in file formatting.
This occurs only when opening the file as UTF8, and occurs for both WriteString and WriteLine functions in PeopleCode.
