Unable to Increase The Number Of Periods In A Project Costing Budget Plan That Has Been Finalized (Doc ID 2282581.1)

Last updated on JULY 22, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Project Costing - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Prior to version 9.2, it was possible to increase the number of periods on a budget plan by changing the budget detail to zero and finalizing the budget again. This seems no longer possible on version 9.2 so there is no way to increase the number of periods on a budget plan.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create budget Plan, distribute and finalize. Notice number of periods cannot be edited on the Calendar tab.
2. On the same Budget Plan, adjust the Total Distributed Budget amount = -0- and save.
2. Notice number of periods are not open for edit on the Calendar tab.
