E-PRCS: Max concurrent value for PSJOBS are not working as needed. (Doc ID 2288395.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2017

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.54 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 8.54 version, Process Scheduler

When setting Max concurrent value for PSJOBS it is not taking effect. For instance If we set the Max concurrent value for a PSJOB to 1, submit it and later try to submit the same job again then the second submitted job should sit in blocked status while first one is running.

Here in this cases even after setting a max concurrent value to 1 and if you submit two same jobs then it try to process two jobs at a time which is not working as per designed.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate: peopletools-->process scheduler-->jobs
2. select a PSJOB
3. set the max concurrent value to 1 and observe the behavior from process monitor when running the same jobs.
