E-BIP: Trailing Zeros And How To Setup Multi-currency Format Globally (Doc ID 2299340.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 08, 2017

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.52 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Client wants trailing decimal places removed and negative numbers to be enclosed by ().

1. Oracle format mask <?format-number:-3.12;'PT99.9999PT'?>
gives (3.1200) where 9 should eliminate trailing zeros

For example:

-1.23 should be printed (1.23) not (1.2300)
-1.234 should be printed (1.234) not (1.2340)
34.45 should be printed as 34.45 not 34.4500

2. When set it to Microsoft mask, it works. However cannot handle multiple currency.
#,##0.####;(#,##0.####) gives (3.12) correctly

3. How to setup Currency format globally and in individual reports?
