Last updated on AUGUST 22, 2017

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise ELM Enterprise Learning Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Effdt of obtained objective seems to be msg submission date, not ELM completion date

Effdt of obtained objective in person profile does not correspond to completion date in ELM when msg goes in error and is resubmitted successfully the day after.

If for some reason (integration broker down, messages in error), messages are processed on a later day than the day they are assigned in ELM, they are added with a later effective date in HCM. This can give issues, for instance for certifications with legal impact. The dates in profile management are not correct for them.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
The EFFDT of obtained objective should be the date of class completion in ELM

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. In HCM

a. Check the person profile Person Profile – KU0007

2. in ELM
a. Create a Course with learning objective - 8009
b. Create Class
c. Enroll Learner
d. Put Integration between HCM and ELM on hold by pausing the Queue
e. Complete Class so that objectives are completed at ELM but not yet have not moved to HRMS (as integration is on hold)
f. verify Person Profile –on same day to make sure the ELM data is not updated
g. Active Integration after 1-2 days and validate results of Person Profile
h. Person Profile- Issue :Effective Date of obtained objective seems to be message submission date, not ELM completion date
