INS6010.SQR not Takes in Account 'Pick Only Reserved' in Create Work Order (WO) Picking Plan (Doc ID 2306546.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 12, 2017

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Inventory - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When you make a partial reservation in the Shortage Workbench, the Work Order Pick Plan process (IN_ALM_PICK AE and INS6010.SQR) allocates all the quantity requested even if you select the 'Pick Only Reserved¿ checkbox.

The INS6010 output, INS6010_118850.PDF, should have Qty to Pick and not the one from WO Qty Reserved since was selected the 'Pick Only Reserved¿ checkbox in the Create Work Order Picking Plan.

All the requested quantity has been allocated while we have done a partial reservation and selected the 'Pick Only Reserved¿ checkbox.

According to the PeopleBooks, 'The system should not try to reserve additional quantity for partially reserved demand lines.'

Steps to Reproduce the Issue:

1. On an existing open Work Order, go to the Schedules tab and add a row in
Inventory, select an item, type a quantity greater than one and save
2. Check the availability
3. Select the line, click on the Reserve button and save the page:
4. Go to the Inventory Maintenance Management / MAINTMGMT Shortage Workbench,
and search the line
5. Change the Planned Release Base quantity from 10 to 5
6. Select the line, enter a Reason Code, select the ‘Accept Override
Quantity’ action and click on Process
7. On the Quantity Order UOM tab, we see that the quantity reserved is 5
8. Check the Stock Request
Navigation Inventory > Fulfillment Stock Orders > Review Fulfillment
Information > Stock Request
The same is true on the Stock Request page:

In the PS Demo Stock Requests page item 30041 appears :
Reserved = 1.0000 05/01/2017 8:24AM
9. Go to Create Work Order Picking Plan, create a new Run Control as below,
select the Work Order and click on Run:
Navigation Inventory > Fulfillment Work Orders > Create Work Order Picking
Plan

Allocation/Picking Options - Action = Create Allocations
Location Selection = Picking Rules
Picking Date Selection = Picking Rules
Picking Date Selection = Today
Order Selection = WO Unit = from US001 to US001

Pick Only Reserved = Y
Note that the Pick Only Reserved checkbox is selected to only pick the
quantity reserved (i.e. 5) according to PeopleBooks.

All Shops = Y
All WOs = Y
All Tasks = Y
Run Work Order Pick Plan - IN_ALM_PCK Application Engine

10. Go to process monitor, look for INS6010, click on Details, View Log/Trace
and open the .pdf file

The INS6010 output, INS6010_118850.PDF, should have Qty to Pick = 5 EA and
not 10 EA since was selected the 'Pick Only Reserved’ checkbox in the Create
Work Order Picking Plan.

It is expected as the INS6010 output, INS6010_118850.PDF, should have Qty to Pick = 5 EA and not 10 EA since was selected the 'Pick Only Reserved¿ checkbox in the Create
Work Order Picking Plan.

All the requested quantity has been allocated while we have done a partial reservation and selected the 'Pick Only Reserved’ checkbox.

According to the PeopleBooks, ‘The system should not try to reserve additional quantity for partially reserved demand lines.’
