E-AD: Developers Are Unable to View Entire Project Properties In Application Designer While In Read-only Mode (Doc ID 2313808.1)

On : 8.55 version, Application Designer

When in read-only mode, Developers are unable to scroll down to view all Project Properties Comments in Application Designer.


Steps to replicate:

1) Create a new Project in Application Designer. In Project Properties Comments, enter 10 lines or more.
2) Create Permission List:

- No access to components under Menus
- PeopleTools tab shows access to Application Designer only

- Miscellaneous Permissions:

- Access Profiles: No access
- Colors: No access
- Field Formats: No access
- File Type Codes: Read-only access
- Styles: No access
- Tool Bar: Read-only access


- Tools permissions:

- Build / Data Admin: No access
- Change Control: Restricted access
- Language Translations: No access
- Merge: Read-only access
- PeopleCode Work-In-Progress: No access
- Peoplecode Debugger: Read-only access
- SQL Editor: Read-only access
- Upgrade: No access
- Visual Merge Page: Read-only access


- Definition Group: PEOPLETOOLS (Definition Security tab):
- Display Only unchecked


- Definition Permissions (Definition Security tab):

- Activities: Read-only access
- Analytic Models: Read-only access
- Analytic Types: Read-only access
- App Engine Programs: Read-only access
- Application Packages: Read-only access
- Approval Rule Sets: Read-only access
- Business Interlinks: Read-only access
- Business Processes: Read-only access
- Component Interfaces: Read-only access
- Components: Read-only access
- Fields: Read-only access
- File Layouts: Read-only access
- File References: Read-only access
- HTML: Read-only access
- Images: Read-only access
- Menus: Read-only access
- Message Channels: Read-only access
- Message Nodes: Read-only access
- Messages: Read-only access
- Mobile Pages: Read-only access
- Optimization Models: No access
- Pages: Read-only access
- Projects: Read-only access
- Queries: No access
- Records: Read-only access
- SQL: Read-only access
- Style Sheets: Read-only access


- In Application Designer - Go > Definition Security > File > Open > Permission List

- Group ID: PEOPLETOOLS - Display Only - No
- Excluded Group ID: *ALL DEFINITIONS*


3) Assign the Permission List to a role.
4) Assign the Role to a user with no other roles but PeopleSoft User.
5) Login to Application Designer with the new user.
6) Open the project created in step 1.
7) Access the Project Properties.

Unable to scroll down through the Project Comments.
