(Doc ID 2318920.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 18, 2017

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN General Ledger - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Issue:
-------

When budget overview inquiry is run without selecting the 'Include Closing Adjustments' checkbox, it does not fetch closing rows in Budget Overview Results (which is expected).

But on Activity log(that appears upon clicking the hyperlinked amount), all the rows(including closing rows) get displayed. Also, if entry amounts in activity log are added, it doesn’t sum to amount shown in budget column for each row.

Steps to Replicate:
---------------------
1. Perform necessary set up for budget closing for a business unit + KK ledger combination
2. Run budget closing
3. Create a new budget inquiry or open an existing one. enter criteria to query entries for the business unit + KK ledger combination from step 1.
4. Select 'Include Closing Adjustments' checkbox , then see Budget Overview Results & click on hyperlinked Budget Amount
5. Go back to inquiry criteria, uncheck 'Include Closing Adjustments' checkbox , then see Budget Overview Results & click on hyperlinked Budget Amount

Please see replication screenshots for more details.

Actual Behavior:
------------------
On step 4: Both Budget Overview Results & corresponding Activity log for the amounts include Closing rows. If entry amounts are added, it sums to amount shown in budget column.
On step 5: Budget Overview Results do not include Closing rows but Activity log for the amounts does. If entry amounts are added, it doesn’t sum to amount shown in budget column for each row.

Expected Behavior:
----------------------

When ‘Include Closing Adjustments’ checkbox is not selected, amounts in Budget Overview Results & corresponding Activity log should be in sync.
